: Can Star Team also be used to store and control files from a Progress db ?

Hi Jan,

Depends on what you mean by ?files?. If you refer to the actual database files I don?t think any Version Control system can be used efficiently as the amount of data (or the size of the actual files) can be quite large. And then there is the question of when the database should be checked in. Should it be done after every transaction? If you have a Transaction Monitor that handles all database updates, and if the TP monitor can trigger a batch file that will check the complete database file in to StarTeam, then it can be done.

If you refer to the schemas stored as scripts, StarTeam could be used to version control those as separate files.

/Tommie
